Soprano Sara DiGirolamo returns for her second season with TOR. She appears as Annina and Flora in La Traviata, and as the Countess of Ceprano in Rigoletto. She is also performing in two duets as part of the Opera Excerpts evenings. Sara first became involved with staged musical performances at a young age with the Canadian Children’s Opera Chorus. Throughout high school and university, the arts played a large part in her life — vocal competitions, improvisational/drama clubs, plays/musicals, chorus, etc. In 2005 she received an Honours BA in Linguistics from the University of Toronto, but shortly discovered that music and the stage were too important to have as a hobby any longer. This past summer, she was privileged to be able to study voice with former opera singer Giuseppina Dalle Molle in Rome, Italy. Sara intends to pursue a career in music and sincerely appreciates all the support she receives from family and friends.
